During the pandemic, nearly 1 in 5 American households, or more than 23 million adopted a pet according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). Lots of owners spent time taking care of their fur buddies at home since quarantine lasted a while. Approximately $21.4 billion were spent on dog food, says the research firm Euromonitor International. While Rover, a gig-economy platform for dog-sitting and boarding reportedly had a record-breaking $157.1 million in revenue (for the quarter that ended on Sept. 30, 2021.)

At the start of the year, fur parents have been dealing with thousands of dollars in additional expenses because the work-life shift went back to the pre-pandemic setting. Doggy daycares and boarding centers all over the country have reported months on waiting lists; Pandemic pet parents are asking for relatives or friends or workplaces to accommodate pets as much as they can; vet clinics filled with appointments; and even vet emergency areas are concerned of longer waiting times.

But more than these, pet owners have a pressing problem that they didn’t realize during the pandemic: expenses. Average daycare costs $400/month, food depends on how large the breed is, and unexpected vet bills are also pricey. Lots of pet parents say that the money saved during most of their pandemic times by not going to work or eating out went to their pets.

Some dogs also get separation anxiety from not being with their best buddies—they get rowdy at home, have erratic behavior, and sometimes tend to destroy things. Most importantly, when they get separation anxiety, their moods change and it isn’t good for their mental health.

To address this, we came up with a formula in our PhytoMAXX™ products. We are combating separation anxiety and other mental strains through CBD products that keep your fur buddies calm even when you’re not around.

PhytoMAXX™ has a healthy amount of BETA-CARYOPHYLLENE–it’s one of the main terpenes in CBD that now has been shown via clinical studies to be directly beneficial for anxiety (and also arthritis!)
